Ulcerguard 500ml

Give orally via syringe. Horses. Severe cases: give 3 mL/100 kg bodyweight (15 mL/500 kg horse) every eight hours (three times daily) for three days, then proceed to following twice daily dosage regimen. Less severe cases: start with 5 mL/100 kg bodyweight (25 mL/500 kg horse) in the morning and 4 mL/100 kg bodyweight (20 mL/500 kg horse) in the evening (eight to ten hours later) for an initial treatment period of three weeks for horses in work. Foals. Give 4 mL/100 kg bodyweight twice daily or as directed by a veterinarian. Free access to hay is recommended, as this is a significant factor contributing to reduced gastric ulcer occurrence in stabled horses.

If used on performance animals, regulations of relevant authorities regarding medication should be observed. After an initial treatment period of three weeks, if treatment then ceases and horses remain in work, ulcers are likely to flare up. Further treatment is recommended in such horses subject to regulation of relevant authorities
